These materials
are designed to help Science Advanced Skills
Teachers (ASTs) in coaching and supporting
teacher colleagues with physics and chemistry
subject knowledge, understanding and pedagogy
(approaches to teaching and learning). They
provide a way of addressing difficulties in
teaching a physical science topic where a
teacher has limited understanding, as well
as a way of engaging teachers in becoming
more confident and competent in lesson preparation
and presentation, that will improve pupil
experience in the classroom and laboratory.
They are appropriate for use with paired planning
and paired teaching with ASTs. |
