This CD ROM contains two sets
of resources both of which have been developed
to support physical science subject knowledge,
understanding and pedagogy at Key Stages 3
and 4, including much of the core science
and additional science content of the new
GCSE specifications. One set of resources
is designed for mentors to use in supporting
science trainee teachers during school
placement phases of their initial training
course. The other set is intended for Advanced
Skills Teachers (ASTs), or subject leaders,
to help science teacher colleagues when they
are being asked to teach physical science
topics where their confidence and
expertise is less secure. Both resources are
provided in two forms, a Word document and
a PDF file. The Word document can be
modified and personalised to match local and
individual circumstances. The PDF file remains
as the master copy.
